CFMOTO Wins Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, Claims Gold and Silver

The CFMOTO Thunder Racing Team claimed both top podium positions, with A. Kanopkinas posting the fastest time in the quad category and G. Martinez finishing in second.

The CFMOTO Thunder Racing Team claimed both top podium positions, with A. Kanopkinas posting the fastest time among the quads and G. Martinez securing second place. 

The five-day race through the sand dunes of the United Arab Emirates has concluded, with the riders crossing the finish line in Abu Dhabi. Over the course of these five days, they covered nearly 2,000 kilometers, including 1,189 kilometers of special stages. After long and often grueling stages, both CFMOTO Thunder Racing Team riders finished on the ATV category podium, securing first and second places.

"The first kilometers of the final day were very cautious for me, but then I thought—let’s have some fun. So I went full throttle and sprinted through the last hundred kilometers. I’m really happy and want to thank the team, our partners, and everyone who supports us. We started the season strong, and now we’re getting ready for the next stage in South Africa. The quads will be packed up and shipped there soon," said Antanas Kanopkinas after the finish.

Gaëtan Martinez also expressed his excitement about his first race in Abu Dhabi and his strong finish: "It was a great event, with so many kilometers in the sand. This was my first time in this part of the world, and I’d love to come back. The result is fantastic—both CFMOTO quads on the podium. Next up is South Africa—I can't wait!"

Both Kanopkinas and Martinez are thrilled to have achieved the best possible result and are already looking forward to the next competition, which will take place in South Africa in May.
